Reporting to
Accounts Manager

Job purpose
To support the Accounts Manager and Finance Director to ensure the smooth operation of the Accounts Department.

Accounts Assistant duties

  • Purchase ledger – matching invoices to PO’s and raising any queries on variances
  • Reconciling supplier statements to our system
  • Enter new suppliers on system
  • Expenses – entering monthly expenses on system
  • Post Cashplus transactions
  • Reconcile Cashplus Account
  • Reconcile credit card transactions
  • Enter weekly timesheets

Admin duties

  • Filing
  • Opening and distribution of mail
  • Distributing job and project invoices to relevant Contract Manager for sign-off
  • Other Financial administration as required

General duties

  • Answer telephone as required
  • Work with Operations Department

The Accounts Assistant should have

  • Some experience of working in an office environment
  • Computer literate (Sage and Microsoft Office preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail

The Accounts Assistant will need to be
