M-PACT Group were appointed by BDG McColl to fully fit out their client’s prestigious Edinburgh Office. The project involved precise attention to detail in delivering a high-end finish.
Site: Ground Floor, Exchange 1, Morrison Street, Edinburgh
The scope of works included a full lighting scheme installation, bespoke joinery and glazed partitions , small power install, water services and ventilation. We were also tasked with the full installation of all M&E services. Given that the objective was to deliver a top quality result, a design -focused fit out was adopted to ensure the client took possession of a work place both modern and inspirational.
The new offices were designed by BDG McColl whilst M-PACT Group undertook the fit out. A key objective was to ensure that employees and clients were met with a layout which would give an instant visual impact. This was achieved through a striking design combined with quality materials and finish allied with professional contract management.
The client wished to explore the effect of an industrial look within a commercial environment. To achieve this approximately 40% of the M&E installation remained visible on completion of the works.
The objective for the client was to offer their staff a new and modern interpretation of the working environment. This was reflected in the design brief and the materials and colour scheme selected. Subsequent informal discussions with the architect and the client confirmed that this objective had been achieved to the satisfaction of the client.
Given our standard approach to working closely with the design team and their client, we were able to offer value-added insights into what could be achieved to meet the objectives whilst retaining control of the project budget. Our experience in delivering high end projects in a modern setting ensured that this project achieved the goals set.
