A leading city break destination in Scotland’s capital has further upped its game with a spa overhaul from building services specialist MPACT Group.

The renovated One Spa at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Edinburgh recently re-launched following a state-of-the-art facelift featuring high-end lighting solutions from Loanhead-based MPACT. Appointed to the project by Edinburgh-based NGP Architecture, the team additionally included F3 Building Surveyors, also based in the Scottish capital.

The project within the five-star hotel was completed to deadline and within budget on a five-month timescale, a vital consideration within a venue that operates 24 hours a day, seven days every week.

While continuing to provide the highest level of service to locally-based clients, M-Pact has also been expanding into a nationally-operating enterprise. Driven by this expansion, the company is on course to reach annual revenues of £10m in the current financial year.

“Edinburgh has been a fantastic place for showcasing our abilities within some of the world’s highest-end venues,” said Ross Renton, Contracts Manager at MPACT. “We pride ourselves on our ability to deliver the same outstanding service both within our home country and further afield throughout the UK.”

Regarded as one of Scotland’s most stunning spa break destinations, the Sheraton Grand Hotel features a stunning rooftop hydropool overlooking the capital city. The spa includes treatment rooms such as the dry salt room – designed to promote better breathing and sounder sleep – as well as a crystal steam room where humidity levels reach 100%, creating a powerful muscle-relaxing experience.

“Carrying out work in such a relaxed and refined establishment requires knowledge and sensitivity of our client’s needs, which MPACT has developed through years of experience of operating in these types of venues,” Ross added.

“With views overlooking Edinburgh Castle, the Sheraton Grand Hotel occupies an important place within the heart of the city. It welcomes visitors from near and afar who expect the highest quality of service and facilities, and we are proud to have played a part in helping our client deliver on that.”

MPACT operates on a strong corporate social responsibility agenda, which includes working with staff to ensure their physical and mental well-being.

The company has also won a number of awards within the electrotechnical industry in Scotland. The most recent of these was in October of last year, when the firm was chosen by trade body SELECT as 2018’s Best Large Contractor.
